"Playing on cssc leagues changed my life"

Andrea Dubak

Playing on CSSC leagues changed my life! I started in multi-sport where I met many like-minded people who invited me to join both beach volleyball and slo-pitch. It's been years now and I still play many seasons a year and attend tournaments. Proud CSSC member 😊

"Legends 35 volleyball league is fun"

The legends 35+ volleyball league is fun and a great way to meet new people and get active. Also, volunteering to EC is easy and means you get a credit towards the next season which works out to be a free season.

"Play on the coed rec premium league"

Carina Chiodo

I play on the coed rec premium league on Sunday evenings with CSSC and have been for roughly two seasons. I am consistantly disappointed with the management from this league. Constantly displaying an unprofessional manner and refusing to take concerns seriously. The GC that we have this season has been antagonistic and unfair in his calls. The league states to work towards a “fun first, winning second” attitude however, in the years playing I have never seen this acitivley promoted. We have had GCs yell and swear at our team. I have emailed concerns a few times and the responses have been mocked and the blame has been put on us as customers. The GC has a few of our players phone numbers and has texted mocking what I thought was a confidential email to the field advisor. On top of the poor management and attitudes of the GCs, one of the teams in particular will do whatever it takes to win. Many of my team’s players have gotten hurt and the games are never under control. This one team seems to run the whole league and no allegations towards them are taken seriously. Ontop of all of this, all new teams leave because of the discouragement. We just want to get out and play hockey on a Sunday night without having to worry about our safety. Would not recommend this league to anyone wanting to have fun playing hockey.

"Entire team was permanently banned"

Guy Paynter

Our entire team was permanently banned from the CSSC softball league this past season over very trivial and minor issues that were never fully explained to a single member of our team. Essentially, we were banned for having minor disputes with an opposing team over very vague and generalized interpretations of rules, and often in these disputes it is less about who is actually right and more about who is loudest on the field. For the amount of money CSSC charges to join one of their softball leagues, you would expect to see league umpires at each game to ensure unbiased and fair interpretations of the rules. Instead, CSSC just provides standings and scheduling but charges excessive prices for the bare minimum they provide. After three years of participating in CSSC leagues, I and my fellow team members have been banned with very little justification and even less explanation. Needless to say, I will be strongly recommending against joining a CSSC league to all of my friends and acquaintances. I also urge all of you who are considering joining a CSSC league to look elsewhere and avoid paying a dime to this mickey mouse, overpriced organization.

"Great league with lot of options"

Amanda Kaminski

Great league with a lot of options for adults who are new to sports, just looking to meet people or athletes that are more seasoned and looking for something competitive. Playing with a few different leagues I can say that the customer service with them is always 10/10. Kate & Justin have been a pleasure to communicate with when it comes to organizing teams or any other cssc needs we have had including some of those tougher conversations or inquiries we have had to make. A lot of our team has been with CSSC for years and have merged together after playing eachother and will continue year over year.

"Careful with this league id suggest finding"

Rachelle Diezon

Be careful with this league. I'd suggest finding a different organization if possible. You can work hard all season with your actual team and roster and get to the championship game, only to play a team you've beaten before earlier in the season bring in almost half their team as subs. These are the rules CSSC, in case you're not familiar with them, which seems to be the case. "Teams that have qualified for a shot at the championship can only bring in subs who have played at least one regular season game with them." How are teams supposed to prove this? "Subs should be of comparable skill to the player that they are replacing. Bringing out ringers could result in follow-up action or the overturning of a game result." This was definitely not the case during our game. These people were clearly better than their usual players. The league giving the OK for the team to play with almost half subs and of not equal skill level during a championship game is a complete joke.
