"Great squash club with courts 20 internal"

Great squash club, with 6 courts, 20 internal boxes and men's and ladies league teams. Best club in Bristol! Now with additional 2 Padel courts.

"Describe this club as particularly friendly"

I would not describe this club as particularly friendly. As with many clubs there are advantages in belonging to a clique and this makes Redland Green no different. Who knows where this years Wimbledon tickets went for example? I have been a member for over a year with my family and each of us, including my young kids have been met with hostility at times, usually by a couple of older women that seem to man the desk from time to time, not something they should be allowed to do without some training in customer interaction. The feeling is often that you are an interloper. I understand the club is trying to generate more revenue. Even without there being many tennis players playing the car park is full. Vans, spaces rented out to third parties and groups booking in to meet in the club house but not sports players. The courts are a useful facility especially if you are left alone to use them but there is no special feeling of membership just that your fees are contributing to the rest of the club.

"Pretty atrocious light situation on the court"

Pretty atrocious light situation on the court at the bottom. Only half the court lit up, and was unplayable because of the darkness. The club refused to light up adjacent courts unless there's a booking and staff seem unable to help due to higher up decisions. My first time at the club has left me disappointed, which is a shame considering the bar area and the other courts are lovely.
