"A very friendly, small and quirky club. It has four..."

A very friendly, small and quirky club. It has four squash courts open to the public (bring £1 coins for the lights) but its main attraction is one of the very few Real Tennis courts. Stop and watch a game for a few minutes and see if you can work out the rules. The club is run by two professionals who are very enthusiastic and knowledgeable and can help you get started. It is a fun, idiosyncratic and addictive sport so don't hesitate if you fancy giving it a go. At the time of writing you can have two lessons for free. The courts are part of a private school (so you need to fit in around the timetable and be aware that there are often children about) and housed in a beautiful, old and charmingly dilapidated brick building. Going inside feels like stepping into the 1930's of Betjemen and Goodbye, Mr Chips. It's a real treasure of a club and I highly recommend it.
