Good, spacious and airy leisure centre with indoor swimming pool, separate kiddies pool and viewing gallery in between. Adequate gym, dance studio and squash court. They hold fitness classes and have swimming lessons (and decent sized lockers, unlike some of the others in the Everyone Active group). Reception area with seating, hot and cold drinks dispensers and snack machines. The staff are always friendly and ready to help.

Leisure centre is decent but there are never any staff on reception, they just go off and leave it unattended. When you call it never goes through, you get one automated message saying "we are experiencing a high number of calls" and then it goes straight to another saying "sorry I'm not available", every time. My husband ended up wasting £7 today having to book a second slot for a squash court because he couldn't make the first one he'd booked and no one would answer the phone for him to change the booking. He's also got there on time and been stood waiting ages with others at reception as no staff are there, they even had to shout a cleaner to go get someone to let them in which wasted their time they had booked, ridiculous. Saltburn leisure centre always has 2 or even 3 members of staff there when you walk in
