I wish I could write a glowing review of this lovely village, as it truly has many positives. Unfortunately, our stay was overshadowed by unexpected and poorly communicated charges. Our booking paperwork from our travel agent made no mention of a cleaning fee. However, upon checkout, we were informed that we needed to pay 120 CHF (approximately double the cost in AUD) for cleaning, despite being instructed to clean the apartment and strip the beds before departure, which we did. We also had to make our own beds upon arrival. While this didn’t initially bother us, being charged a substantial cleaning fee afterward felt unreasonable and misleading. When we queried this, we were told that Expedia clearly states the cleaning fee.
