I went for a trial squash lesson at Academia Arena Squash in BH today. The situation was so surreal and ridiculous that I couldn't react in the moment, left with that bad feeling we so often deal with from chauvinistic men. I was received by an instructor who, from the start of the lesson, called himself my "uncle" (do it here with uncle, turn your back to uncle, crouch like uncle). After a few minutes, because I still couldn't coordinate the sport's movements, he claimed I must not have taken PE classes, that I should be off playing with dolls while the boys practiced sports (this to someone who exercised on 330 days of last year, running, yoga, skating, functional training, trekking, weight training, diving...).

I'm never setting foot in that place again. There are other places to play this Sport. The teachers there are pathetic.
