"Beware and make sure familiar with cancellation"

Mark Hawkins

Beware and make sure familiar with cancellation policy. This club requires three months continued membership even after notifying to cancel. I did not pay by check, rather by debit card. I emailed that I was moving and wanted to cancel the membership. Received email that is was cancelled, but no mention of future charges. My debit card number changed during this time, and they were unable to charge my card. Thought the email from member services was sufficient for cancellation. I later receive an email that they are going to turn my account over to a collections agency. Received a detailed ledger, and they had racked up charges of "return check fees." Allowed the fees to be waived ONLY if I paid a certain amount in less than a week. As far as the actual club goes, the facilities are bare bones. The actual weight training area is small and caters more to cable machines. The cardio room is just OK, lots of the machines are older. The locker rooms are decent and provide more amenities than cookie cutter gyms. Hot tub and steam room frequently are out of order. Clean gym but could use a little renovation. Front desk workers seem to be kind but wish they would be more upfront about cancellation policy and future charges they try to tack on to your account. Hate when there is secrecy or deceptiveness in businesses that have monthly memberships so rating is reflective of that alone.

"Enjoy my experience there everything you want"

I enjoy my experience there. Everything you want from tennis courts to great hoop courts and awesome amenities. Sauna, whirlpool, steam room and everything. Spacious and not over crowded. A little pricy, but worth it IMO

"Great place member for awhile now"

Great place! Member for awhile now and it is booming here. Got word from the management that they are going to paint the walls update the look of the club. Also they're soon going to update the tennis court area, and the outdoor pool area. I was informed also that corporate was here and mandated the change which was music to my ears! I'm glad this club still exist in my area.

"Mj has been wonderful trainer"

MJ has been a wonderful trainer for me over the past couple of months. I am lifting more than I ever have been able to in the past and learning how to do a multitude of lifts that I was never able to do before. The facility is very clean and well kept. Thanks!

"Went to this facility to play league"

YM T

I went to this facility to play a league tennis match against a member. As soon as I entered, staff asked me to sign a "liability waiver". I said Sure, began to fill it out (on a tablet) and when I got to the "email" line, I said jokingly, "You're not going to send me emails are you?". The staffer said Yes. But you can just opt out of them. I told him I didn't want to sign that. I was fine with the waiver, but not with giving them my personal info so they could advertise to me. He told me I would have to if I wanted to play my match there. I immediately left, to try to reach my opponent on the phone. I came back and there was another staffer at the desk. He assured me that it was just a standard liability waiver. He was friendly about it, and I was just about to sign when I actually read the full extent of what I was about to check "I agree" to. There it was in print: "I consent to receive texts, emails, and/or phone calls..." This is deceptive and tacky. I've played league matches all over Atlanta at fitness clubs and country clubs, and have never been asked to sign anything. It isn't like I was a club guest who might injure myself on weight machines. I was there to play tennis. This policy needs to change. Here's a suggestion: If a guest doesn't want to sign away their personal info, have another option - an actual liability waiver that simply requires a signature. I would have preferred writing this directly to the club manager, but when I asked for a card so that I could contact the manager directly, the staffer said "Sure, but first I'm going to need you to go ahead and sign the form." That's when I turned and walked out. We played at my home courts.
