The Denver Athletic Club
"Denver athletic club was ranked one"

The Denver Athletic Club was ranked one of the top ten gyms in the US, and it is a well deserved accolade! They have a 4 lane lap pool, sauna, steam room, and hot tub. The locker room is spacious and full of amenities. The front desk provides a card for the locker key. The facility has studios for spinning, pilates, yoga and all of their classes. There is even massage available onsite by appointment. The fitness area has an abundance of cardio equipment, including concept 2 rowing machines, many ellipticals and treadmills. It does not seem there would ever be a wait for a machine and the high ceiling and glass windows make the entire cardio area feel very open. The gym has an extensive collection of cable weights and free weight equipment, including 3 power racks and a deadlift platform. There are multiple benches (flat, incline, decline) and sets of dumbbell up to 120lbs at least. The weight area feels more like an NFL training facility than a local gym. There are more 45lb plates than you can possibly lift, I promise you. The staff is friendly and inviting. I was only in town for a few days, using day passes from the Teatro Hotel nearby, but they tended to me like a full fledged member. Ultimately, working with their management, they were able to offer a terrific membership deal that I prepaid for my brother as a gift. While I am not fortunate enough to live nearby, my brother is a local and I am thrilled to recommend the Denver Athletic Facility to my family and anyone reading this review. Keep up the good work guys!

Been a member 4+ years now. Private club that has some great amenities. 8 lane 25 meter lap pool is my favorite. New coworking space and one of the best basketball courts in the city. Full size nba court and well maintained.

Can’t beat this place... Indoor pool, sauna, steam room, squash, new basketball court, bowling, gym, free yoga classes, pilates, cross-fit, and many more... Reasonably prices if you use it.
"Following tour of the dac with diane"

Following a tour of the DAC with Diane, she not only followed up with my membership, I also received personal communications regarding my specific interests, both athletic and social. It is different to have an actual person (members) reach out and invite you to a class or event. You can sign up for mailing lists, but individual members also want to make contact with you, it is the culture of the club. New members are offered a free wellness visit then two free personal training sessions. I would highly recommend taking advantage of this! Carol completed my physical (% body fat, cardio, balance, etc) and checked in on my experience thus far at the club. She sent the tests over to Jennifer who has been my personal trainer ever since. I have felt great about my fitness; the results have shown in my racing and energy. The shopping, restaurants, and social events begin to add onto the bill after a few months. DAC is not the cheapest, but is the best bang for your buck! The social activities cost less than I would spend doing these same activities outside of the DAC. Moving into the city, especially LoDo, plan to spend more money. Being a part of the DAC, you can get great deals inside the club and the committees will plan outings in the city as well.
