Absolutely shocking service if you intend to book swimming lessons. I complained back in June about my son having a different teacher each Saturday for his lesson and he was not learning anything. He was moved by a manager in June to a Monday. I’ve attended on a Monday since June and paid £100 in fees for 20 lessons. Today, my sons teacher mentions he can not update his progress for some reason. I asked on reception and to my horror my son is still registered as attending on a Saturday morning. So every Monday since June he’s been attending lessons and not one person has questioned why we were there on a Monday not a Saturday. They have got no record of his progress since June and this has to be a breach of fire safety, health and safety and safe guarding regulations. I asked to speak to speak to a manager and there was no one there and I’ve been told to call tomorrow in my own time to discuss this with someone! Shocking!

Top place to play squash. It's a shame the squash court is not looked after compared to the 200 square meters of empty space behind it that is pristine.

My friend booked a badmiton court and went in for the first time. Court was spacious and good. Enjoyed playing there. I did see that it has good swimming pool but have not been to the pool so couldn't comment on it.

Lovely friendly staff. Mixed changing rooms for swimming, makes it easier for families. Lockers are expensive. Small seating area and play frame next to cafe with swimming viewing area

Some good features, such as the two large swimming pools and a well equipped gym however it can be very busy, especially after work/school or during the half term. The gym is equipped with Olympic standard weights and a sleigh, but you may have to wait to use one of the treadmills or other cardio machines due to the lack of them. The biggest issue though is the central area, which can often be found with numerous out of control children that run ramped. Fortunately to solve this issue, Volair decided to introduce a 10m by 10m chicken pen (which they claim is a 'Children's Play Area") now meaning the all of the seats have been pushed into the corner-not the greatest solution.
