After all the positive reviews and the slick website, I was a bit disappointed. Lots of separate costs on top of the sign-up fee. Card plus monthly fee, certain machines, drinks, etc. The women's fitness corner also costs extra. The changing rooms and toilets are clean but dated. When I took part in a class (Pilates), it wasn't as hot as it is now, and I was sweating in the studio (no air conditioning) despite open windows, and the instructor deliberately turned the lights off because the problem is a known one. I got the last parking spot even though the gym wasn't very busy. No yoga classes. Otherwise: crowd around 50 years old. Everyone very friendly and helpful. Very good instruction (Pilates). Several squash courts, and even non-members can play for a small fee. Space at the machines. Large overall floor area spread over several levels. The staff I spoke to are permanent employees. Good equipment. Calm, relaxed atmosphere. I think it's a pleasant place to work as a trainer.

5 STARS. There's hardly more to say. First-class training equipment, great classes, solarium, sauna, squash, and the free-weights room with its Gym 80 equipment doesn't fall short either. Everything seems well organized, clean, tidy, and the service is attentive and friendly. I can only recommend it. So 5 ⭐ for the FFC...

By far the best gym I've ever been to. The atmosphere is very friendly and family-like, the team is incredibly accommodating and always available for questions. The wide selection of the latest, high-quality fitness equipment, spacious free-weight areas, and the range of classes, squash, and sauna pleasantly surprised me. Not to forget the music, instead of having unpleasant beats forced on you, the local radio plays. All the gym chains could learn from that. Keep it up FFC and thank you very much. 😊

The best gym in the area. Huge range on offer, family run, has been around for what feels like forever and holds its own against the spirit of the times, i.e. the "flat rate chains". Very varied offering: classes, strength and cardio area, back-training circuit, sauna, several squash courts, all at a moderate price. There's also a dining area where you can grab a drink after training 👍
