Fingara Club: Fingara Club is a sports and recreation club located in Boralesgamuwa, Sri Lanka, completely secluded from the hustle and bustle of Colombo, yet within the city limits. The club offers a peaceful environment and offers a wide range of sports, fitness and dining facilities to its members and guests. Fingara was founded by Marvin Jayasinghe. The club has also hosted notable events, with its premises being used for the filming of over 40% of the official theme song for the 2012 T20 World Cup. The club is particularly well known for its sporting offerings and hosts events and coaching for both members and non-members. Its facilities include: • Swimming: A 25-metre long swimming pool, considered one of the best in the country, and a smaller pool for children. • Cricket: Indoor cricket nets, used by international touring teams for practice. • Racquet Sports: Courts for tennis, badminton and squash. • Other Sports: A basketball court, a billiard and snooker table and table tennis. • Fitness: A modern indoor gymnasium and fitness classes.

I recently had the pleasure of spending an extensive day at Fingara Club in Boralesgamuwa, and I was genuinely impressed by the quality of the facilities and the peaceful, almost secluded atmosphere they've created. This is truly the premier sports and recreation club in the area, offering a complete escape without ever leaving the city limits. What immediately stands out is the commitment to top-tier sports facilities. As an avid swimmer, the 25-metre swimming pool is absolutely fantastic—clean, perfectly maintained, and easily one of the best I've encountered in the country. For cricket fans, the indoor cricket nets are world-class; it's easy to see why international touring teams use them for practice. Beyond that, having access to excellent courts for tennis, badminton, and squash all in one location makes Fingara a sports enthusiast's dream. The modern gymnasium is fully equipped, making it easy to fit a serious workout into your routine. It’s not just about the sports, though. The club's hospitality and dining options are equally impressive.
