"Awful customer service My partner took the kids to play..."

Lewiss Turner

Awful customer service My partner took the kids to play badminton. She paid for a court, then a few minutes later someone else turned up saying, “Excuse me, you’re on our court.” She went back to reception, where staff said, “Well, you can play tennis,” which they had no real choice but to accept. Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago. My partner and I turned up (after calling ahead to check availability) to play squash. We were told Court 2 was available, but the payment system was down and we could pay on exit, which we agreed to. Fifteen minutes later there was a knock on the door, someone else had booked the court, so we had to leave. Had we known we’d only get 15 minutes, we wouldn’t have bothered. After a brief discussion with two teenage boys on reception and a man with a long beard, my partner asked for a complimentary session the following week. The man huffed, but eventually agreed. This week (Thursday) we turned up for our complimentary session, admittedly about 20 minutes late. On arrival, one of the same teenage boys was on reception, slumped in his chair, legs wide open, looking like he couldn’t care less and with a face like a slapped backside.
