"Stay away if you value"

STAY AWAY IF YOU VALUE YOUR $$! I have been a member for 10 years and primarily use the club to train and play basketball. The staff is super nice, very friendly, BUT what a pathetic management! I have witnessed the level of service at the club deteriorate quite drastically during the past year (since new ownership!..). They have continued to raise dues and cut quality of services. Not even going to mention the dated equipment, BUT they started renting out the work out studios to 3rd parties! The main room in the workout area is booked 4pm-8pm Mon-Fri, NC-Fit class... So members can't use the room anymore...if you want to do the class, you have to pay extra $$ in addition to $250 gym membership fee...not only that, these guys pick all the dumbbells in the workout area during the class...was looking for 50lbs for shoulder press this afternoon, there were no dumbbells from 45lbs-65lbs in the whole workout area...all of them used in the class..complaint the guy in the class, and he told me to do machines instead..it's a JOKE.. I can't say anything bad about the staff though..I even feel bad for giving one star because staff is great...but new management probably makes these decisions to bring the club extra $$ as if they are not charging enough.. One more example would be renting out the basketball court for outsiders too..you come to the gym to play basketball, and there is a sign that says court is reserved... Don't think this post will make a difference but I felt today like I have to share it for my own piece of mind..

Love working out here! The best classes, equipments, sauna, steam, jacuzzi, pool and coaches most of all. ❤️ Special shout-out to my favourite trainers Israel, Andres and David! Love the attention they give to all members and the motivation whenever we think of skipping a rep lol.
"Great time today at the bay club"

I had a great time today at the Bay Club on Greenwich Street in San Francisco. I was met by Tyler who gave me a tour and showed me all the amenities. This place is more than a gym. They have so much that you will just check it out for yourself. I liked that it was so clean. There are wide open spaces. It was not over crowded. I was impressed with the lounge that has self serve smoothies and the compression room. They have many personal trainers that exceed your expectations. The basket ball court is nice. Everyone enjoys hanging out there pre and post workout. People who are serious about fitness go there. It was a good mix of ages. Genders. People that go there are clean and respectful. Kudos to the manager for having patience with me and for running a good space. As soon as my schedule settles down., I plan on membership.

A nice upscale health club that has all the usual amenities plus a few squash courts and an excellent triathlon training program with a full service bike shop.
"Location parking convenience bcsf"

Location/Parking/Convenience: BCSF is not really that conveniently located as it borders North Beach and Embarcadero. To offset this, they conveniently offer a shuttle M-F from the crack of dawn to pretty much closing hours. The shuttle map is online, just google bay club shuttle, and can take you from the embarcadero bart station to the club in about 7 minutes (just time it right!). The shuttle can drop you off pretty much anywhere on its route and to hail it, you just watch for it coming and wave it down like a cab and hop on. The shuttles could use some love as they are a tad smelly and old. Parking is pretty easy, there are metered spaces all around. Also there is a private lot on the north side of the club. Give your membership card at the parking booth as you drive in and the attendant will write a permit up for you. You can stay 3 hours, or longer if it's not work hours. More than half of the parking spaces are available to BCSF guests, and they are clearly marked. Entering through the parking garage entrance means checking in through the garage desk, or doing so over the video intercom at the door from the garage, just have your membership card ready. Lobby/Front Desk/Cafe: The lobby is nice, they did a great job of making a space where I can do some work, take a phone call, have a snack, charge up my devices, or plan my day/workout. Seating is always available and it is fairly comfortable and well lit. There's also a wine dispenser that takes card (~$10 a standard pour). The front desk is very responsive, I find that all the employees are well trained and really do want to make my day better. The long table has more than enough power outlets and is arranged conveniently to park yourself. The Cafe is nice, there is coffee available for free, but I have yet to discover where the milk is for it. The water fountain is nice and lemon wedges are to the right to freshen your water. The cafe has some food and drinks (moderate prices). There's also a microwave and plenty of seating here to hang out. Locker Room/Showers/Saunas/Bathroom: I have only been in the men's locker room, but I'll assume the woman's is the same. There are ample towels in multiple locations, the towels are quite soft and smell clean always. Lockers upon lockers, there are so many... Take your pick. The amenities are shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, ear swabs, bay rum, disposable razors, ironing board, iron, combs, mouthwash, hair dryers, body lotion, hand towels. There are a lot of mirrors here as well if you need to flex or check yourself before heading out. There are about a dozen showers, a wet sauna, dry sauna, and small hot tub. They are all pretty clean but throughout the day may collect some of the smellier member's scents... The bathroom here is clean as well. Weight room/Fitness rooms: This gym for the most part has slightly older equipment, maybe 20 years or so. Upstairs has all new stuff but is limited to a free weight set, 2 cable crosses. The main gym has ~8 benches, ~6 presses, 3 cable cross, a ton of machines, 3 sets of free weights. The treadmill room has so many machines, but I much prefer doing cardio upstairs in the room that faces the bay. You can see the bridge, cruise ships all from your machine, it's very nice. There is also a lab pool, basket ball court, five racquet ball courts, tennis court, yoga rooms cycling rooms, but I apologize I don't use them and just like that the gym has them in case my guests want them. The nicest thing I find about this gym is its shape. The gym forces you to walk all over to see the different rooms and because of this I don't ever feel cramped as many SF gyms are. Space is a premium here and BCSF is swimming in space. I try to go to the rooftop every now and then to tan. They have 20 seats facing the sun and you can see Coit tower and much of the bay all from there, very scenic.
