"I've only been playing squash here for three months"

I've only been playing squash here for three months. Online booking is a breeze, the reception staff are friendly, and it seems like there are many people here who have been playing tennis and squash for years. The facility is a bit dated, but very clean and well-maintained. I really like the atmosphere here!
"We were very surprised that after playing tennis, you have"

We were very surprised that after playing tennis, you have to take a rug and drag it across the court like a horse to clean up after yourself. We were shocked by such a rule. We won't be coming back.
"The tennis courts are good"

The tennis courts are good. The squash courts could use a fresh coat of paint. The toilets and showers desperately need renovation! The food is good and tasty, and the selection of drinks is perfectly adequate.
"The squash courts are clean, and the large glass window"

The squash courts are clean, and the large glass window overlooking the tennis courts is a nice touch, especially with a cold drink in hand. However, that's pretty much where the positives end. The rest of the ambiance is strongly reminiscent of a trip back to the 80s, but without any nostalgic charm. It feels as if nothing has been modernized for decades. Water drips from the ceiling in several places, giving it a "lost place" feel more like an abandoned building than a sports facility. The walls of the squash courts are visibly crumbling. Fresh paint seems to be about as rare here as renovations in general. Sometimes you're more likely to be playing with white balls than black ones. The restrooms are another story altogether, heavily calcified, clearly showing their age, and with a rather unpleasant odor. On the plus side: Hansefit memberships have been accepted since the end of 2025, which at least halves the price. On the downside: Hansefit customers can only book by phone. Digital booking seems to be a distant dream here. Unfortunately, the atmosphere is further marred by a noticeably unwelcoming attitude on site. You feel tolerated rather than truly welcome. In conclusion: If you come solely for the sport and are willing to completely ignore everything else, you can certainly play and have fun here. However, if you value well-maintained facilities and a pleasant atmosphere, you should probably keep your expectations low.
