I was a member of CNB for well over a year. The negatives out weigh the positives. Negatives: a) Very expensive for what you get. The location is fantastic and the views are superb. The pool is very good. But little else is good. They charge around 100 euros per month, and most of the equipment are old/outdated. The squash courts aren't great and the general upkeep can be way better. The showers and the restrooms are quite dirty. The classes on offer aren't great. 100 euros per month is more than double than what a gym like DiR would charge. b) They need a 2 week notice while leaving -- I find this absurd. They charged me for an extra month even when I had left the city. c) Very subjective, but the crowd was a mixed bag. Mostly 40+ crowd. d) Front office aren't very helpful. For such a large gym, was very difficult to find anyone who could speak any English. Positives: a) Mentioned earlier, location, views and pool. b) Personal trainers are helpful. c) If you are into networking, then perhaps this gym is good -- rich/influentials (CEOs, politicians) etc frequent this gym.
